Valmie Resources Inc (OTCBB:VMRI) has been on a tremendous bull run since last month. Shares are up nearly 500% off the May lows. What's most impressive is that this has occurred on massive volume as new buyers come into the stock and shorts cover. After the company's latest news, the bull run might just be getting started as Valmie looks to be set to sign several deals.

Valmie Resources describes itself as "a U.S. company actively pursuing opportunities for the commercialization of leading edge products and services in the rapidly expanding technology industry. Valmie brings operating talent, tools, and leadership to emerging companies in these sectors, promoting industry awareness and developing economically sustainable partnerships while increasing shareholder value."

Valmie has received a Section 333 Exemption from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to perform commercial drone activities within the U.S. National Airspace System. The drone operator intends to use the exemption to commercially operate unmanned aerial systems for agricultural applications, search and rescue operations, power line and pipeline inspections, infrastructure surveying, and imaging to increase the effectiveness of data collection, storage, and analysis.

Valmie's joint venture partner is AeroLift eXpress, a privately held tech start-up that offers increased productivity, reduced operating costs and lower risks by providing elite unmanned aerial transport to the world’s most inaccessible locations. AeroLift uses uses military grade vehicles and systems. In addition to its focus area of offshore delivery, the company offers other unmanned aerial services such as infrastructure surveying, power line and pipeline inspections and aerial imaging. Its unmanned aerial transport service has the capacity to deliver payloads of up to 14 pounds at an operating radius of 250 miles. Last month, Valmie debuted AeroLift eXpress last month at the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) in Houston. AeroLift CEO James Stafford said on June 9:

“Last week we met with one of the most experienced, innovative and reliable companies in the subsea construction industry. They are seeking new and inventive solutions, and the cost savings and lowered risk offered by AeroLift over traditional marine and other unmanned transportation is difficult to ignore. As a result of the favorable responses received, we are making preparations for a live demonstration and full operational status as quickly as possible.”

The buzz for Valmie and AeroLift all started at Offshore Technology Conference in Houston last month. There, Valmie received an excellent response to the rollout of AeroLift eXpress. Already AeroLift and Valmie are in talks with multiple international companies regarding collaborating on power line integrity management projects. The only other alternative is by employing a helicopter, which is much more costly and more high risk. AeroLift Express can successfully operate in any conditions where a helicopter can fly. AeroLift CEO James Stafford said:

“The AeroLift exhibit was not only an attention grabber at OTC but also generated serious interest in the exclusive service we offer. Our collaboration with Valmie is launching us in the right direction as we introduce our next level drone transport platform to the offshore community.”

The Offshore Technology Conference was the right place for Valmie and AeroLift to announce their collaboration. Founded in 1969, OTC's flagship conference is held annually in Houston and is the city's largest convention. It's where energy professionals meet to exchange ideas and opinions to advance scientific and technical knowledge for offshore resources and environmental matters.Currently trading with a market cap of $82 million, VMRI has turned into a microcap runner and volume leader on the OTC Markets. In order for the bull run to continue, VMRI needs to deliver some solid contracts and sign some of the deals they are currently working on. If this happen, shares will be off to the races as drone technology remains one of hottest sectors to be in right now. We will be updating Insider Financial as soon as we know more.
