In our last review of Airborne Wireless Network Inc (OTCMKTS:ABWN) on April 10, 2017, we reported that the Company had filed for an experimental Federal Communication Commission (FCC) license to begin air-to-air and air-to-ground meshed network system evaluations. On May 5, 2017, the Company was granted the experimental operating certificate by the FCC to begin air-to-air and air-to-ground meshed network system evaluations. Before we get into the details, a little background on the company for those not familiar with it. Airborne Wireless Network Inc intends to create a high-speed broadband airborne wireless network by linking commercial aircraft in flight. Each aircraft participating in the network will act as an airborne repeater or router, sending and receiving broadband signals from one aircraft to the next and creating a digital superhighway in the sky. Airborne intends for the network to be a high-speed broadband internet pipeline to improve coverage connectivity. The Company does not intend to provide retail customer coverage to end users, but, instead, act as a wholesale carrier with target customers, such as internet service providers and telephone companies. Now that Airborne Wireless Network has the approval of the FCC, it can now begin ground and flight tests of its demonstration system in the development of the Infinitus Super HighwayTM. The Company will be conducting the tests over its intended flight test operating area near Roswell, New Mexico. The Company will utilize two specially equipped Boeing aircraft on which the data networking equipment will be installed. The two aircraft will take flight at an interval of each other so as to maintain line of sight. The aircraft with then pass broadband data between each other inflight, and to a ground station to establish and maintain a air-to-air and air-to-ground meshed network link. Jason T. de Mos, the Company's Vice President of Business Development and Aviation Compliance, stated:

"This approval is a significant achievement in the testing and development of our Infinitus Super Highway. We believe our technology has the potential to become an important opportunity for improving and creating a global pipeline that takes connectivity beyond current limitations. We are very much looking forward to the test demonstration and bringing this new, highly innovative communications network system to market."

Once the testing phase is completed, the next step is to deploy the technology on a large scale to all major airlines, and to areas all around the world. Internet connectivity in remote areas will now be feasible, so long as there is a consistent flight path for airlines over-head.

ABWN stock is currently trading at $2.18, near a support level. It is still maintaining about 40 percent of the gains it made since December of last year. The financials are still pre-revenue since the Company is still in the process of developing its technology. As of February 2017, the Company had $689,000 on its balance sheet, so an equity raise/dilution is likely. Current market capitalization stands at $190.66 million, on 87.46 million shares outstanding as of May 12, 2017.Once Airborne Wireless Network’s technology is fully developed and implemented, The Infinitus Super HighwayTM will be an advanced, low-cost air-to-air and air-to-ground digital communication system from which the Company will be able to derive revenues from. The application for this technology could help bring internet connectivity to the most remote place around the globe by providing low-cost, broadband wireless communication infrastructure from points-to-points. This has the potential to open an entirely new market to provide internet service to.The newly appointed management team at Airborne Wireless Network Inc is executing its plan according to schedule. Once the new technology hits the market place, an unmet and growing demand will be filled, and the revenues should begin to flow. This should result in growth for the company.
