United Technologies Corporation (NYSE:UTX) posted better-than-expected Q3 earnings and revenue in line with forecasts and reaffirmed its full-year forecasts. The company, which provides technology products and services to the building and aerospace industries, posted adjusted EPS of $1.82, up 12% and above forecasts for $1.79, according to Capital IQ. On a GAAP basis, the company had earnings of $2.04 and net income attributable to common shareholders of $1.9 billion, up 32 percent and 31 percent respectively.Sales of $16.2 billion increased 5 percent, in line with forecasts. "Our solid backlog and organic growth trends continue to give us confidence in our earnings per share range of $6.75 to $6.85, on sales of about $65 billion," chairman and CEO Louis Chenevert said. Analysts are looking for earnings of $6.85 on revenue of $65.27 billion. United Technologies Corporation (NYSE:UTX) shares have a 52-week spread of $97.30 - $120.66.Harley-Davidson Inc (NYSE:HOG) reported Q3 earnings of $0.69 per share, down from $0.73 per share a year ago but ahead of the analyst consensus of $0.60 per share on Capital IQ. Revenue was $1.13 billion, down from $1.18 billion a year ago and slightly shy of the Street view of $1.14 billion. Dealers worldwide sold 73,217 new Harley-Davidson motorcycles in the third quarter of 2014 compared to 70,517 motorcycles in the year-ago quarter. U.S. dealers sold 50,167 new Harley-Davidson motorcycles in the third quarter, up 3.4 percent compared to sales of 48,529 motorcycles in the year-ago period. Looking forward, Harley-Davidson continues to expect to ship 270,000 to 275,000 motorcycles to dealers and distributors worldwide in 2014, an approximate 3-1/2 percent to 5-1/2 percent increase from 2013. Harley-Davidson Inc (NYSE:HOG) continues to expect full-year 2014 operating margin of 17.5 percent to 18.5 percent in the Motorcycles segment. The company also continues to expect capital expenditures of $215 million to $235 million in 2014.Omnicom Group Inc. (NYSE:OMC), a provider of advertising, marketing and corporate-communications services, reported higher Q3 earnings that topped analysts' expectations as revenue also rose more than expected. Net income available to common shareholders rose to $239.5 million, or $0.95 per share, from $191.2 million, or $0.74 per share, a year earlier. Excluding one-time items, its prior-year earnings were $0.82 per share. Analysts polled by Capital IQ were expecting $0.90 per share. Revenue climbed to $3.75 billion from $3.49 billion a year earlier, topping analysts' mean estimate of $3.68 billion. Domestic revenue jumped 10% to $2 billion while international revenue increased 4.7% to $1.75 billion. Omnicom Group Inc. (NYSE:OMC) is trading in a 52-week range of $64.03 to $76.87.
