STMicroelectronics NV (ADR) (NYSE:STM) reports that it is aiming to deliver a mass market-optimized vehicle-to-vehicle chipset for widespread deployment by 2017 together with partner Autotalks. STMicroelectronics cited IHS forecasts predicting vehicle-to-vehicle communication sales will amount to nearly 700,000 units in 2017, rising to 5.6 million units in 2020 and as much a 55 million in 2025. The cooperation will entail combining Israel-based Autotalks' experience in V2X and security, mobility, communication, RF, signal processing, and positioning with ST's expertise in chip design. STMicroelectronics NV (ADR) (NYSE:STM) is trading near the lower end of the 52-week range between $6.27 and $10.00.Kosmos Energy Ltd (NYSE:KOS), an oil and gas exploration and production company, announced Q3 results that beat the Street view on EPS but fell short on total revenues, hurt by a decline on oil liftings from the Jubilee field. The company reported Q3 adjusted EPS of $0.05, up from a loss of $0.12 per share a year ago and beating analyst estimates of $0.01 in earnings for the quarter. Total revenues of $138.43 million were down from $215.37 million in Q3 2013 and missed analyst projections of $177.2 million.The decrease in revenue resulted largely from one and one-half crude oil liftings from the Jubilee field during the quarter compared to two liftings in the third quarter of 2013. Realized oil price was $95.26 per barrel of oil sold in the quarter versus $112.52 per barrel in the same quarter of last year. Shares of Kosmos Energy Ltd (NYSE:KOS) are at $9.33 within a 52-week range of $8.32 - $11.60.Bioline RX Ltd (NASDAQ:BLRX) said that in light of encouraging data from its ongoing Phase 2 clinical trial of BL-8040 for the treatment of patients with relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukemia, it has filed with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration an amendment to the study protocol to test additional cohorts at higher doses in the current dose-escalation stage of the trial. The clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company said the amendment will also include an increase in the total expected study enrollment, from up to 50 under the original protocol, to up to 70 patients.The drug was found to be safe at all doses tested to date and Bioline RX Ltd (NASDAQ:BLRX) said that to date, the drug continues to "substantial mobilization of leukemic cells from the bone marrow and robust induction of cancer cell apoptosis." "The current amendment will enable us to further increase BL-8040's dosing, thereby continuing to enhance its potential efficacy," CEO Kinneret Savitsky said in a statement. "We now expect to complete the dose escalation stage of the study by early next year, and the full study, following the expansion stage, in the second half of 2015. BL-8040 is also in the midst of a Phase 1 stem cell mobilization study, with results expected by early 2015."
