Valeant Pharmaceuticals Intl Inc (NYSE:VRX) reported mixed financial results for Q3 ended Sept. 30, 2014, with earnings topping analysts' expectations, while revenue came in line, and provided guidance for Q4, fiscal 2014 and fiscal 2015 above Street estimates. The specialty pharmaceutical company posted Q3 GAAP net income of $275.4 million or $0.81 per share, compared with the prior-year period's net loss of $973.2 million or $2.92 per share. Adjusted net income attributable to Valeant Pharmaceuticals Intl Inc (NYSE:VRX) was $718.8 million or $2.11 cash per share, versus $485.9 million or $1.43 cash per share in the same quarter the previous year. Revenue was $2.1 billion, up 33% from $1.54 billion in the same quarter last year.Analysts polled by Capital IQ were expecting EPS of $1.99 on revenues of $2.06 billion. Total same store sales organic growth was 19%, including impact from generics. The company expects fiscal 2014 EPS of $8.22 - $8.32 versus the Street view of $8.03 EPS. For Q4, the company sees double-digit same store organic growth; its guidance for EPS was raised to $2.45 to $2.55, versus the consensus of $2.38. For fiscal year 2015, it now sees a 10% increase in organic growth, and cash EPS of $10, assuming no acquisitions. Analysts are looking for $9.58 EPS. Shares are trading with a 52-week range of $102.60 - $153.10.VF Corp (NYSE:VFC), a global clothing company, reported slightly weaker-than-expected Q3 earnings, but raised its full-year EPS estimate in line with forecasts and increased its quarterly dividend by 22%. Earnings per share increased 11% to $1.08 per share compared with $0.97 per share during the same period last year and lagging forecasts for $1.09, according to Capital IQ. Revenues rose 7% to $3.52 billion, missing forecasts for $3.57 billion, helped by the outdoor and action sports division. For the full year, the company expects revenue to gain 8% to $12.3 billion, in line with estimates. VF Corp (NYSE:VFC) raised its full-year EPS guidance to $3.08 per share, up $0.02 over the previous outlook, representing a 14 percent increase over 2013. The $3.08 includes an estimated $0.02 negative impact due to currency fluctuations. Analysts are looking for $3.11. The company also said it's increasing its quarterly dividend by 22% to $0.32 per share.Rex Energy Corporation (NASDAQ:REXX), an oil and gas developer, has provided preliminary Q3 production results that exceeded company guidance and has increased its full year 2014 production guidance. Q3 production of 169.7 MMcfe/d exceeded high end of company guidance by 3%, representing a 32% increase in average daily production over Q2 2014 and 72% over Q2 2013, consisting of 107.0 MMcf/d of natural gas and 10.4 Mboe/d of oil, condensate and NGLs.Rex Energy Corporation (NASDAQ:REXX) expects Q4 production volumes to range from 179.0 MMcfe/d -- 185.0 MMcfe/d, representing a sequential increase of 7% at the midpoint of guidance over Q3 and a 65% year-over-year increase at the midpoint of guidance. In addition, the company is increasing its full year 2014 production guidance by 3.0 MMcfe/d at the midpoint to 150.0 MMcfe/d -- 152.0 MMcfe/d, up from previously announced guidance of 146.0 MMcfe/d -- 150.0 MMcfe/d. Shares of REXX are at $8.86 within a 52-week range of $7.50 - $25.17.
