Eclipse Resources Corp (NYSE:ECR) said its Q3 production averaged 85.8 MMcfe per day, up 104% from the second quarter and exceeding its targets. The production mix was approximately 78% natural gas, 9% natural gas liquids and 13% oil. The percentage of the company's production that was comprised of liquids (natural gas liquids and oil) also exceeded its guidance for the quarter. Production for the quarter was approximately 65% operated. "We are pleased with the strong production numbers achieved for the quarter, which was driven by continued outstanding performance of our operating team in getting wells drilled and online on or ahead of schedule," Benjamin W. Hulburt, chairman and CEO said. Eclipse Resources Corp (NYSE:ECR) will report Q3 results on Nov. 10th.Hill-Rom Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:HRC) said it has appointed Steven Strobel as chief financial officer effective Dec. 1, replacing interim CFO Michael Macek. Macek held the position at the medical device maker since this summer, when James Saccaro, who had joined the company in December from Baxter International (BAX), returned to Baxter to become CFO of the biopharmaceutlcals business. Strobel was previously CFO of retail energy services company BlueStar Energy and before that he served as treasurer and corporate controller at Motorola and Owens Corning. Hill-Rom Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:HRC) is trading in a 52-week range between $34.94 and $44.64.Novavax, Inc. (NASDAQ:NVAX) detailed the results of trials into the first ebola vaccine candidate based on the Guinea strain of the virus. "We used the recently published Guinea 2014 Ebola strain genetic sequence1 to create a highly purified, correctly folded, Ebola GP Vaccine in only a few weeks," said Gregory Glenn, M.D., SVP, Research and Development at Novavax, Inc. (NASDAQ:NVAX). "The data presented today provides scientific validation that our technology platform can respond to emerging viral threats in an extremely efficient and effective manner. We look forward to the results of our non-human primate study and the initiation of a Phase 1 clinical trial in the near future."Novavax has recently initiated a non-human primate study and expects to initiate a Phase 1 clinical trial in December 2014 to evaluate the safety and immunogenicity of the EBOV GP Vaccine in ascending doses, with and without the Matrix-M adjuvant, in approximately 150 subjects. Plans to demonstrate the safety and efficacy in a large-scale global clinical trial will be developed based on data from the Phase 1 trial and in collaboration with global regulatory authorities and world health agencies. The stock recently traded at $5.63 with a 52-week range of $2.68 - $6.95.
