3D Systems Corporation (NYSE:DDD) posted mixed preliminary financial results for Q3 ended Sept. 30, 2014, with expected earnings above analysts' expectations, and revenue falling short; it also lowered its outlook for fiscal 2014. 3D Systems Corporation (NYSE:DDD) shares are down 8% at $39.75, with a 52-week range of $38.70 - $97.28. The provider of three-dimensional (3D) content-to-print solutions said it expects to report Q3 GAAP earnings per share of $0.01 - $0.03, and non-GAAP earnings per share of $0.16 - $0.19. The Capital IQ consensus estimate is for $0.12 EPS.Revenue is expected to be $164 million - $169 million, compared with the $186.43 million analysts are looking for. The company trimmed its guidance for the fiscal year 2014, and now sees revenue of $650 million - $690 million, down from the previous range of $700 million - $740 million. The Street view is for $708.62 million. Non-GAAP EPS is now expected to be $0.70 - $0.80, versus the consensus of $0.78 EPS. The prior guidance was for non-GAAP EPS of $0.73 - $0.85.Shares of Regulus Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ:RGLS) provided interim results from an ongoing clinical study on RG-101, a wholly-owned GalNac-conjugated anti-miR targeting microRNA-122, for the treatment of hepatitis C virus infection. The biopharmaceutical company said that treatment with a single subcutaneous dose of 2mg/kg of RG-101 resulted in significant and sustained reductions in HCV RNA in a varied group of patients and that the drug was safe and well tolerated and has demonstrated a very favorable pharmacokinetic profile to date, which may allow for combination with oral direct-acting antiviral agents to treat HCV.Regulus Therapeutics' Chief Medical Officer Paul Grint said, "Currently, we plan to file an Investigational New Drug Application with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in the first quarter of 2015 and plan to initiate a Phase II DAA combination study of RG-101 in HCV patients in the second quarter of 2015. In addition, we look forward to reporting additional data from the ongoing study in the first half of next year." Regulus Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ:RGLS)GLS shares are moving above the 52-week range of $5.40 - $11.88.Relypsa Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ:RGLS) said Wednesday it has filed a new drug application with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration seeking approval to market Patiromer for Oral Suspension for the treatment of hyperkalemia, a condition marked by elevated levels of potassium in the blood. The application is supported by eight clinical trials, including a phase 2 trial that evaluated Patiromer in patients for up to one year. Relypsa Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ:RGLS) president and CEO John Orwin said Patiromer is the first new therapeutic innovation available to treat patients with hyperkalemia in more than 50 years. Hyperkalemia is frequently prevalent in patients who suffer from chronic kidney disease, hypertension, diabetes and heart failure, and can lead to life-threatening cardiac arrhythmia and sudden death, the biopharmaceutical company noted in a release.
