Airborne Wireless Network Inc (OTCMKTS:ABWN) has turned into quite the winner for us here at Insider Financial. We gave ABWN to our readers and subscribers last August when shares were trading at just $.40 apiece. Since then, shares are up 500% for our subscribers that have held on. Taking a closer look, there could be more gains to be had.First up, a little background on the company. Airborne Wireless Network Inc intends to create a high-speed broadband airborne wireless network by linking commercial aircraft in flight. Each aircraft participating in the network will act as an airborne repeater or router, sending and receiving broadband signals from one aircraft to the next and creating a digital superhighway in the sky. Airborne intends the network to be a high-speed broadband internet pipeline to improve coverage connectivity. The Company does not intend to provide retail customer coverage to end users, but, instead, act as a wholesale carrier with target customers, such as internet service providers and telephone companies.

Currently, the world's connectivity is achieved by use of undersea cables, ground based fiber and satellites. Airborne believes that the Company's airborne digital highway is the logical solution to fill the world's connectivity void. Once the network is developed and fully implemented, its uses are virtually limitless. Airborne's network, once developed, should provide low cost, high-speed connectivity to rural areas, island nations, ships at sea, oil platforms, in addition to connectivity to commercial and private aircraft in flight.

The news that sparked the current rally was an MOU between Airborne and Air Lease Corporation in regards to a strategic marketing partnership for Airborne's proposed broadband wireless network to be known as the Infinitus Super Highway. Airborne Wireless Network is developing its Infinitus Super Highway, which contemplates providing a high-speed broadband airborne wireless network by linking commercial aircraft in flight as repeaters, which will send and receive broadband signals from one aircraft to another. Under the terms of the agreement, Air Lease Corporation will act as the exclusive marketing agent and use its extensive network of airline customers to market the Infinitus Super Highway to multiple airline customers throughout the world. ABWN Vice President Jason de Mos said:

"Air Lease Corporation is one of the world's largest aircraft leasing companies. We are excited that they are on board to market our system to their worldwide airline customers and to introduce us to manufacturers such as Boeing and Airbus with the goal of having our equipment pre-wired on new aircraft. Our collaboration will be a big step toward making our vision a reality, as we believe our airborne digital highway is the logical solution to fill the world's connectivity void. This partnership is a perfect fit for our strategy and will contribute significantly to the future of Airborne Wireless."

Last month, Airborne signed an MOU with Electric Lightwave Holdings, Inc. This deal will allow the ground segment of the Infinitus Super Highway to be supported by Electric Lightwave's 12,500-mile fiber optics cable and data center network, which is located throughout the Western United States, including an undersea cable link to the Hawaiian Islands. This deal is significant because it provides Airborne with access to strategic properties on to construct the necessary ground stations for the Infinitus Super Highway to be completed.

Currently trading with a market cap of $190 million, ABWN has all the pieces in place to make the Infinitus Super Highway a reality. With $1.2 million in cash on its balance sheet and just $184k in liabilities, ABWN's balance sheet also has the flexibility to take on the necessary financing to roll out the Infinitus Super Highway. This is a major improvement from August when we reported that the May 31 report showed NO cash and $33k in total liabilities.

ABWN has turned into a microcap runner and for good reason. The company is set up to have a big 2017. We will be updating our subscribers as soon as we know more. For the latest updates on ABWN, sign up below!
